Welcome to
St. Paul's Episcopal Church
“...a beautiful, little church... ”
“...a beautiful, little church... ”
Founded in 1881 by the Reverend W. H. Smythe, St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a thriving community of generous, warm-spirited people. Located in the northern part of Michigan's thumb, St. Paul's has maintained a robust ministry for over a century.

The present building was constructed in 1908 under the leadership of the Honorable Albert E. Sleeper (Governor of Michigan). It was described by a local newspaper of the day as "one of the most modern, comfortable, and beautiful little churches in the thumb."

We would love to meet you!
St. Paul's is a friendly church and we welcome everybody. If you are new to the Episcopal church, we are here to help. Our normal worship time is 9:30 AM on Sundays with a vibrant and fun coffee hour in the undercroft (fancy word for church basement) after the service. We look forward to meeting you!
